Katie Moss, a native of Southern California, began her career working in her garden as a form of meditation. Before she knew it, neighbors and passersby seeking their own sanctuaries knocked on her door. What began as word of mouth in the mid-nineties has grown into a thriving business designing residential landscapes in upscale neighborhoods throughout West Los Angeles.

Katie's gardens have been recognized for their simple beauty and elegant curb appeal. She has proven her expertise with a wide range of architectural styles; however, Katie is best known for her enthusiasm, extensive plant knowledge and passion for her projects. From luxury condo balconies to multi acre estates, Katie's meticulous eye leaves no space unfinished. While always respectful of a client's privacy, she has been known to look out from each interior window of a home to understand how the garden can be enjoyed from the indoors as well. Pools, Sport Courts, outdoor dining and cooking areas, fireplaces, water features and lighting are all possible aspects of Katie's designs. Katie collaborates with her clients to create outdoor environments that truly serve their lifestyle.

Proper maintenance allows for longevity. KMLD includes a pruning and maintenance tutorial at the completion of every installation. Katie has used the same foreman & tree specialist for almost 20 years. Katie understands the importance of a crew who is as familiar with a job as she is. KMLD crews are also available for seasonal maintenance.

Clients have said they feel as though Katie is giving them VIP treatment. Katie charges a standard fee for the initial two hour consultation. When a green light is given, the design fee is based on a percentage of the total landscape construction cost. Occasionally, Katie will work on an hourly basis. In order to maintain intimate contact on all her jobs, KMLD accepts a limited number of projects annually.
